STUDENT LIFE

Timeless Teachings in a Changing World

1. Cling to scripture. Despite doubt from various influences, Father God settled 2 Corinthians 5:13 on my heart for the journey ahead of me. It brings such a sweet reminder that though my decision to forsake all and serve where God calls might seem crazy to many, it brings glory to my heavenly Father who calms my fears in His love.

2. Trust Him. When the calling of Father God lays so heavy upon your heart, there is no way of escaping it. The intense desire to serve and love the unlovable at all costs becomes something you can no longer flee. Although no one ever said it would be easy, we rest in the assurance that God promises to never leave us nor forsake us, that He will always be there, that He will keep us safe.

3. Just simply obey. God never once tells us we have to be perfect. If we were perfect, we wouldn’t need a god. We cannot allow the opinions of others to influence our decisions to serve Him with reckless abandon if that is what He has called us to. All He asks is for our availability and obedience to His call. You be the vessels; let Him be God.
